CEMEX has long been committed to a sustainable development approach at all levels of the company and on all its sites. This approach, which was first based on an environmental policy, has been extended to include a genuine Sustainable Development policy and then a Social, Community and Environmentally Responsible policy built collectively (managers, employees, qualified external persons). More than half a century after the opening of the Buzet-sur-Tarn site, the global approach is locally integrated. They have initiated a different approach, more open and giving way to more exchanges with civil society (elected officials, associations, residents) but also internally with employees and subcontractors working on the site.
