Renewable Energy & Efficiency

Floating photovoltaic panels on quarry and gravel lakes, wind turbines on extraction sites, machines and conveyor belts producing electricity with aggregates delivered downhill: solar, wind and gravity are sources of renewable energy and part of the energy mix used in the European Aggregates Industry. Hydrogen, hybrid machines and fossil fuels will become or remain as part of the energy sources needed. Members of Aggregates Europe – UEPG have undertaken projects on electrifying machines on their road towards climate neutrality.
