The conservation and development of nature’s biodiversity are established policies when planning, implementing and in the after-care of Destia’s aggregate operations. The Destia aggregate unit created a nature calendar during 2018 which presents a taste of Destia’s professional aggregate operations improving nature’s biodiversity. In the calendar, the company explains using photos and bulletins about how the Destia aggregate unit takes nature into consideration in its operations and how it strives to make better choices when it comes to nature. All of the photos in the calendar were taken by employees. The aim of the calendar project was to encourage employees to see aggregates sites in a different way and to notice the nature in and around these areas. This allows for better consideration for nature as they work on the extraction process.
