Keohane Readymix Ltd

Dromkeen Wood is a beautiful hillside haven, it was planted in 1740 by Thomas Adderly then landlord of Innishannon. The wood runs adjacent to the Bandon River and is surrounded by an area of special conservation, as well as two areas of historical significance, a Bronze Age hill fort and a Famine burial ground. Nestled in the middle Keohane company is operating. Over the past 35 years Keohane has worked tirelessly to adhere to the conditions and to improve the facility to bring it to the standard in which it operates today. Keohane is a highly respected part of the Innishannon community. In the EPA document “Environmental Management in the Extractive Industry” Dromkeen was referenced and photographed as an example of best practice.
