Context
Since the end of the 1990s, the Yville-sur-Seine gravel extraction site is operated by Carrières et Ballastières de Normandie (CBN). The Yville-sur-Seine site is a rich ecosystem where the quarrying operations of the CNB have been taking place for the last 20 years.
Actions
Consultation with scientists, public stakeholders, local associations and specialised public work companies.
Recreation of the ecosystem through environmental engineering.
Result
Increase and recreation of biodiversity in the gravel extraction area. Higher population of life form inhabitants.
